How does it work?

Just Walk

Grab your shoes and go for a daily walk. It’s that simple. Your walk may be ‘around the block’, it may be in a park, on a country lane, or in a field. The most important thing is to take as many ‘steps’ as you can – every day!

What Time

Habits form more easily when done on a regular and consistent basis. That’s why we encourage you to take your walk at 8:00am or 8:00pm, daily.

Aim for Streaks

The more walking the better! We encourage you to walk the block every single day. Creating and tracking streaks helps instil a daily ritual. But no matter how often your walk, enjoy it!

Share Your Participation

By signing up to WTB, we can track the number of “Block Walkers” around the world. Our goal is 100,000 walkers by 2027. When you sign up, a special WTB block will be mailed to you to take on your walks!

Take the Block

Research shows that visual cues and a shared routine help build lasting, healthy habits. Sign up we will send you a special BLOCK to take on your walks.

(we’re building our prototype block with a built-in light that blinks daily at 8 AM and 8 PM reminding participants to “walk the block”).

Our Story

It all started in 2021, when Mandi and Alex went for their first walk together in a small town in Canada. Ever since then, they’ve been walking together. They started WTB@8OC to help share the health and wellness benefits that come from walking the block - every day!
